Hello all. I am a new to the site. I have a strange issue happening lately. Occasionally when I accelerate, a whole bunch of the lights on the dash start flashing vary faintly, but super fast. There are at least 5 or 6 lights flashing at the same time, including the trunk. Seems to be some sort of electrical issue. Iwas hoping that someone might have run into the same issue and could help.

FYI - I have a '99 A4 1.8T

 

Definitely some electrical problem but it is probably going to require some looking into the gauge cluster.

 

yup definately an electrical issue. It could be as simple as the connection behind your cluster is loose and it could be as complicated as 5 thousand bucks, lol. Electrical stuff is hard to diagnose, just take it in somewhere and let them take a peek.
