this has already been recalled in Europe and with enough complaints they will have to do the same in the US also...
call them and give them you VIN and they have to report it to the National Highway Traffic safety Administration
...and thier website is nhtsa.gov
I just saw this in the B5 A4 section here: http://www.audizine.com/forum/...60911. I called and filed a complaint about mine. I think the instrument cluster not working could be considered a safety issue because it displays important warning information. I don't know if it'll do anything, but I suppose it's worth a try.

Make the call and spread the word!!

It was Cost so much to recall all those car's. What do you think audi cares about more? $$$ or customers?
unless somebody dies because the cluster fails it will never happen.

National highway traffic safety tracks safety problems with cars. Dead pixels aren't a safety issue. As long as the car doesn't crash, catch fire, or kill someone, NHTSA isn't going to force a recall. Similarly, Audi doesn't "Have" to doa recall no matter how many of us complain,although it is clearly an issue with these cars.
