could i take the ecu out of a 2000 1.8tqm and put in my 2001 1.8tqm?

 

Im not expert but I'd say no. In 2001 the engine got a new turbo, variable valve timing and some other stuff that added an extra 20hp

But, for the question at hand. Do not put a 00 ecu in your car. Sharbiteattack is correct.

Why are you looking for another ecu?

 

it is chipped, but the guy doesn't wanna get rid ofit
