Default Symptoms of a bad snub mount?

I'm just wondering what are the symptoms of a bad snub mount. I have noticed that if I rest my hand on the shifter (its a manual) when I'm in second gear the shifter moves about a 1/4" as I accelerate and de-accelerate. I think it does it in third too. Any thoughts?

Thanks

My car does the same thing. From what I understand this is common and nothing to worry about.

yep thats common and its not a sign of a worn snub. if you remove the splash guard under your engine the snub mount can be seen. its up front right by the radiator. best way to find out how the snub is, is to visually obsreve it.

When you shift gears is it smooth or not? Being your car is a 99 it's probably benificial to change it anyway.
