Default synthetic oil

Is it bad to go from synthetic oil back to regular oil. I've always thought in the long run, oils oil.

Over the long run synthetic oil is better for the engine. If your gonna spend thousands for your car then don't you want the best protection for your investment? Motor oil and high octane gas are things you should definitely not be stingy with. If so then get a civic.

every heard of a term called leakdown?

cars with alot of leakdown get thier oil changed by jiffy lube and use regular oil

cars with sub 5% leakdown have been synthetic all thier life... over all just better for your engine

leakdown: the decrease of compression in an engine that results in a loss of power over a long period of time...

standard oil is old stuff and not designed for the cars of today, full synthetic is for performance cars and those with money to waste ( well not actually wasting ),

semi synthetic can be mixed with standard where as you cant with full synthetic so if your not racing round the track semi is good,

standard oil is 25% gasoline based so it evaporates and causes sludging,
full synthetic is man made and withstands the riggers of heat and ware so best for high performance,
semi synthetic is a mixture of the best with extremely little of the old crap and best for the average drivers car
