Default TB and oil consumption

Hey guys, i was looking in my bentley manual and i noticed that it says the v belt is rated at 80,000 and timing belt at 105,000 before it needs replacement. Just wondering if this was true or a typo cuz ive always changed em at 60,000 on previous cars. Also, was just wondering what other 2.8 owners were getting for oil consumption over 3000 miles, im gettin about a quart. Was wondering if thats normal. Thanks

That is what it says, but experience show that after 80K miles you are pushing your luck.

Can't help on the oil consumption but for reference my 1.8T with 150K miles used no oil.

timing belt I could quote the the official figures to change but that falls on deaf ears and it depends on age of car/ service history or even better if you owned it on the last change, oil loss depends on where you are/ what altitude you are/ how hot/ how do you drive but in principal it 1 ltr to 1,000 mile

T-belt is good for around 90k, as long as you dont have the old style tensioner.

Oil consumption is not normal. You either have a leak, or your burning oil. Check into that one.
