Default Temperature Panel

Hey guys,

I've searched around the internet, but I haven't been able to find any info. Currently, most of the lower buttons on my temperature panel do not respond anymore. I've spilled drinks in the past and for awhile, the buttons were just sticky. I've had it cleaned and been careful about not spilling any drinks in there (due to the cupholder).

I'm wondering if anyone knows how to remove the panel? I spoke to my mechanic and since I no longer live nearby, I wanted to try to see if I could fix it up. Does anyone know how to remove the panel? I believe there's a way to detach it from the ashtray compartment underneath. I have a 2001 Audi A4 Quattro model. I can take a picture if needed.

I feel like this is something I can do myself so I wanted to see if any of you knew how to do this.

Thank you for your time.

Byron

If you pull the radio out, it should just slide out. It's wedged in there. I have the same problem with sticky buttons, but I don't know how to fix that issue. I pulled mine apart and took the face plate off but it still doesn't let you get at the side of the buttons.

Long story short, pulling it out doesn't get you anywhere as far as I can tell.
