Hey guysd, Im looki nto buy an 98 A4 2.8 with around 90-110 k on it maybe less on the auciton soon and I'd like to know, is ther nay way I can pop the hood and check on the condition of the tensioners, beacause that would make around a 600$ diff right tehre

Do you mean you want to know if the timing belt, accessory belt, tensioners and pullies have been changed? There's really not any way to tell. I just installed all new companants and they look identical. i'm sure after a month they will all be dirty as the originals.
