Default Are there supposed to be locks for the floormats?

That might sound like a stupid question, but in my 99 B5, it looks as if the pegs on the floor (that are supposed to keep the mats in place) are keyed for some type of twist lock that will hold the mats down and keep them from sliding. Does anyone know which vendors (if any) stock these? I'd call around but it's 8:30PM here and no one is open. Also, if anyone who reads this has a set of them (if they exist) and are willing to part with them, please PM me and let me know what you'd like for them. I'd need black ones.

TIA, and again, sorry if this is a stupid question, but a search for "floor mats" didn't reveal anything, and neither did "floor mat locks".

This may be a supider question... but why would anybody want to key their floormats? Is there a floormat theft ring that I don't know about?

The pegs go through the holes in the floormats & lock them in place, so the floormat doesn't slide around while you're driving.

Yes, you need to point your remote at your floor mats and keep holding the panic button until the you hear beeping. This means your floor mats are secure, hit it again to stop the beeping this means they are now unlocked. Careful if you lift them up while its beeping it calls the police and we respond to beat up the retard stealing floormats or the one trying to lock his floormats.
