Think I'll get stuck this winter?
haha those tires look great! We haven't gotten any snow here yet (buffalo, ny) but the lake effect can give us some pretty nice snowfalls sometimes... i cant wait for winter.
I went to school in upstate ny, and had to drive over the Tug Hill plateau every 2 weeks, and if you think the lake effect off lake erie is bad, lake ontario's is even worse. I'm sure anybody from between syracuse and watertown would back me up here. I've had a ton of fun drives up there, with 4 feet being nothing special.
These pictures are not altered digitally. I drove through this $hit.
I love it!!

Always wonderd if I should try a winter on low profiles. Plan on a few trips home this winter ummmm. Rockys and street tires at 90mph.
Ya good luck getting stuck with those I almost never get stuck and when I do its becuase the car is barried and I cant find the door lol.
"Can I hire you to plow my street"?

And while I'm at it, I did a search for snow pics in oswego county (tug hill plateau, east of lake ontario, lake effect country)... if you want to see some fun pics, check this out. 56k no go.

I think it did get pushed in a little hard.

As for those of you who haven't yet driven your A4 in snow...GET READY FOR FUN!I bought mine in the middle of a blizzard in Minneapolis, then drove it through said blizzard in the dark all the way back to Des Moines. 35-40mph wind?1.5-2" of snowperhour? No problem! Then I spent the next week redefining my concept of the term "sure-footedness". It was the most fun I've EVER had in the snow! And that was on all-season tyres -once I upgrade my summer shoes to 18"s withperformance tyres, I'm going to stick some serious winter rubber on the stock rims.
daesharacor, tell me next time it snows like that cuz i wanna drive through a place like that. i think it'd be cool. i live bing so i would luv to take a trip up there lol
I think I like avatar better then the tire pick. Just looking at McLovin cracks me up.
This will be the first winter with my A4. I had learned that the Quattro isn't worth **** in the winter without the right equipment. I lucked out and found a tire/wheel set on craigs list for cheap, $230.00 for a set of Blizzaks with 10/32nd's left and mounted on Borbet alloy's. We have had two storms, one was all snow, the other snow and then ice.
Tires were dynomite in the snow. Honestly it is the best handleing vehicle in the snow I have owned, and I've driven a pathfinder, grand cherokee, superduty, and although those other's went well in the snow, still felt a little lose at times.I will say those other 4x4's were onlyequipped with all seasons, butlove those blizzaks.Theice was still a bit slick, but I bet those studs makethe drive a little less traumatic.
