I like winter tires in the winter. I put Michelin X-Ice on all 4 corners. The drive in this morning was on a snow covered road and it was completely hooked up. A long way from my rwd 528e.

I'm on "All-Season" performance tires, and here in Columbus we just got (and are still receiveing) our first snow of the year. There was about 3" of accumulation on the roads this morning on my way in. For being low profile with an agressive tread pattern, the tires really did ok, but their no snow tires. I had the same tires on my old BMW and it wouldn't even move in the snow. the quattro does make most of the differance as you'd imagine. HOWEVER, they are easy to break loose in turns, resulting in the way too much fun sideways drift. Even though it rides solid, and goes and corners better than everything else I've driven, I know with snow tires it would be outstanding.

As such, I'm probobally gonna call this morning and have a set of blizzaks put onto my old wheels for this winter.

I live in Buffalo Ny. Been having myself some real winter fun nothing like flooring it in the snow. The only bad part is it's been icy but other then that flooring it.

Well we're finally supposed to get some decent snow tonight and tomorrow, 1-2' so I put the winter wheels on tonight and I will post up how well they do tomorrow. I was slipping all over with my 18's on today in 1" so I am hoping these do much better.

you wish huh..haha

those tires are sweet... id rock them. i live in wisconsin. its snowing as i type, about to go drive in it actaully... but anyways the down falls to the snow are salt big time if they use that in your area.. because they do in wisconsin and it sucks!!! but id rather not drive my audi in the winter and drive my 95 civic and let that take the winter beating!!!

but when i do drive in the snow with it i love it...

No salt here, I can't remember the name of the stuff they use but it's sweet, it's a red color.
