thinking about 02 avant
I'm thinking about getting either a '02 A4 Avant or some Subaru wagon.
What am I looking at in terms of reliability? Any notable problems with that make/model?
Also any opinions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Avant's are bloody awesome... I much prefer the pre 2002 avants, but B6's are definately nicer cars to drive.
To my knowledge, b6's (2002+ cars -- where 2005.5 becomes b7 platform) have very few problems... none of them severe. Not like the b5's (pre 2002), which are plagued by crappy control arms.
Oh, but if your shopping for a 2002, watch the miles... timing belts should be changed at 60K, and they are $$$. Drive both cars, you'll forget about the subaru.
