Thinking of Purchasing 2003 A4 1.8T. Opinions please.
Hey!!! This is my first post and im thinking of buyin a a4. Im unfamilar with audis as i have never owned one.
Ok there two cars i would like to choose from. But am leaning towards the 5spd because it feels way better for the engine.
Both cars are the same price $19900 cdn and same year 2003.
Here are the links and both cars do not have any service records but they are both LEASE backs. So im assuming the car had to be maintianed for warranty purposes.

The first one has lower kms but no sunroof, power seats, xenons, and its auto.
The second one has 40000 more kms but I like this one alot better.
What do you think? Am i paying too much? Remember cars in canada are alot more than the us. Should I take the low kms over the high kms? I feel more happy in the 5 spd but it just has high kms. Do i need to change fuel pump? Timing belt?
As u can tell im really scared to purchase as the truck im trading in gave me TONS of problems. Burning oil. Misfiring pistons. etcetc.
THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!!!!

Wouldnt worry aboutkms' if a car was well maintained and was not abused. Its a german well made car, so like "Search4unknown" tald me check forif cluchand tranny is good. Also check the seats, look for any creases or rips, usually signs of this means speeding and rolling around in the seat. CHeck for pedals also, make sure their not wornout. Im probably gonna buy myself 2003 audy 1.8t quattro, that has about 116000m. If the car sounds good and is notfalling apart I will buy it.
I don't see cars on either link, it just takes me to the main autotrader for canada page. plus i don't know how to translate km into miles. If its been taken care of and has had the timing belt changed by 100k then it is a great car.

Im getting the car with warranty for 2 or 3 years. Its not audi warranty but some other "outside" company.
Don't do anything at Audi. Find a good independent mechanic for half the price. Very few jobs on a car, engine swaps included are very hard or technical. THey just require patience, proper tools, bentley manual and good organizational skills.
