Alright, I'm guessing that that housing just unscrews like normal? Anything I should watch out for or be careful of when using force to break it loose? I can't mess up the rack or anything else with steering can I? Here is a link to some inner tie rods, there are lots of other sites that have them. I'm just hoping the shop that I got the outers from carry the inners as well.

Also, I've only been working on my drivers side. What are the odds the other inner is bad too??? [:@]

Yeah, just replace that inner.

I wouldn't expect the other side to be bad also, but hard to say. just tear it apart and take a look.

I'm having a hell of a time trying to break this thing loose. Any ideas on how to break that housing free from the steering rack?

check the rear of the ball joint holder and see if it looks like its threaded later ones could be a single unit and a recon unit might be the only way to resolve it

If you notice there is a notch just behind the big nut where the joint is. Hold that with a 22mm (I think thats the size) also make sure you have the wheel turned so that its at its full extension. Then use the good old monkey wrench or 1 1/4 wrench
