a while back i asked you guys about what i need to do to my tip tronic tranny to allow hight hp without major failure.....someone told me that i would need to do an 800$ level 10 upgrade.....when i look at turbos sites some of them say that all i would need to do is get the tip chip which is only 250....will that work?

 

Tip chip will work for a while but the level 10 kit is the best bet if your wanting to put down serious power with out blowing your tranny

The tip chip alone won't allow your tranny to maintain any significant higher levels of torque for long (ie - above a K04 turbo upgrade). It simply increases plate pressure on the clutches, giving quicker response time. It will help extend the life of the tranny during increased torque levels within its natural limits (ie. more than stock but less than 240 foot pounds).

 

im looking for about 280-300 hp

 

i think level ten valve body upgrade is goood 4 380 hp so i think u will be ok.
