Just drain and replace. Thats all you need.
Thanks.. So you think at 74k miles i should notice a difference?
I think I did mine at 85K and I noticed a slight difference, nothing major though.
But that car was an auto, not sure what you have. Manuals should have a larger degree of noticable difference.
Thanks.. The "Tip tranny" part of the subject didtn give it away that its an auto???

i removed the pan and replaced the filter on mine before i installed the PES T-28 kit.

refilled with 5 liters of fluid and it improved my cold weather and shift performance.

i agree that higher mileage transmissions should just drain and fill
how do you get away with having a T-28 kit with an auto? Isnt that too much power?

Sorry for the repeat posts but.. When go to fill it back up, should i just measure how much i took out, and put that much back in of the new fluid? Is there some kind of tool i need to fill? Can i literaly just drain and fill it ? Should the fluid go up to the hole, like when i stick my finger in there, and i feel fluid, its full? Thanks.

I only know of two types of transmissions
Manual
Auto

Tip can = advice (which is what I thought the thread was indicating)
I guess Tip = tiptronic = too fancy for me!

no problems as of yet. huge gains over the K04.

there have been others that have BT setups on tip transmission without any troubles

i changed mine just over 100k and it was like someone took out the pos that was slipping and replaced it with a new trans. it is very worth it to change.
