when i went to my audi dealer to ask questions why my tip is not working, the first question the guy asked me is if the gears themselves were lit up or all the gears at one time were lit just like yours. so im guessing that it is a common thing and it can be fixed easily
yeah i'm hopin nothin big is wrong...and i see no reason why there would be considering it just happened and there has been nothing to lead up to this.

But it's not just the tip, it does tthe same thing in just regular drive (D)

so just tinkering with it and seeing what rebooting the system would do is a bad thing?
There is no point. Getting the fault codes is step 1. You have a CEL so there are fault codes. There's no point in tinkering with anything when a fault code will instantly point you in the right direction. Its an Audi, not a Dell, so "rebooting" is rarely a solution to an underlying problem.

He'll have to read the TIP computer. Use a VAG or a Audi code reader.

that would indeed be a helpful investment..considering a CEL for our cars isnt all that uncommon..

from what i hear it's the "your car is modded" light

P0734 - Gear 4 Incorrect Ratio
P0717 - Input Turbine/Speed Sensor Circ. No Signal

I would look into the Turbine/Speed sensor cuir no signal first. Not sure where its located but make sure its conencted and the connectors are clean. Also follow the line and make sure its not crimped, open or cut.
