Default Tiptronic Transmission Replacement, In-line filter?

I'm having the dealership replace my transmission under 3rd party warranty. They want to also replace the Transmission's in-line filter for 619$. They say the part is $350 alone. Is there another filter that i'm missing here? Is this not the normal Automatic Transmission Oil Filter?

How many miles do you have on the trans? What was the problem you were having before you took it in for warranty?

I have 45k miles and the car was 'stuttering' while accellorating.

Makes no sense. Only filter in the tranny that im aware of is the one you see when the pan is off and its like a $20 part.

I just got a response back from the dealer:
"I spoke with the tech and it’s the transmission fluid filter-it is located above and to the left of trans. Itself-the part # is 8E0-317-823-L, the labor is an additional $244 and the part was $350.95+tax."

Does anyone have a diagram of that part?
