Default TIRE QUESTION....

I'm at 26k miles on my B6 A4...It comes stock w/ the Continental SportContact2...235/40ZR18...I like them, but are pretty expensive. On tirerack they're rated well, as well are the Michelin Pilot PS2's, the Goodyear F1's, and so on.

I've done a lot of business with Les Schwab and love 'em...have had 3 sets of tires on my Honda (Toyo Proxes FZ4's). They're now called the Proxes 4, and they have the T1R instead of the T1S. Price wise, they're about the same or cheaper. Have you guys run Toyos on your Audi, and if so what do you think????????

thanks for any replies..

Mark

Default RE: TIRE QUESTION....

Check out the General Exclaim UHP... I just got rid of firestone firehawk SZ50EP's, which are a top end tire worth big bucks... and went to these, and I'm not dissapointed. They are quiet, and a really nice ride. Also, they are very, very well priced.

The proxes 4 is quite a bit different than the FZ4... but it's a nice tire. I'd go for the T1R if it were me, as the proxes 4 is classified as an all season, although I'd never use it as such. Might as well go full out summer with the T1R.

Buuut like I said, check out the exclaim UHP... its rated #1 in its category on tirerack, has a 380 treadwear rating, looks great, and is cheaaaap!
