Default Total Headlight Failure

Driving home tonight (just before dark thankfully) my headlights stopped working. Completely. I have turn signals and taillights, but I can't activate the headlights or foglights, and the high-beams only work if I pull the signal towards me. They don't turn on if I push the signal forward. I also have no console lighting (what would be lit at night). Gauge cluster is fine. And the "lights on" indicator illuminates in the cluster. I checked all of the fuses and all seem fine.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Most certainly a problem with the switch. Very common.

Jestnomen,

Is the switch in the stalk or remote in the dash?

Thanks!

Try spraying the switch in the stalk with Radio Shack tuner cleaner.

Yeah if that doesn't work, then you'll have to replace the entire stalk.
