Hey guys, need some quick help. Im buying an Audi within the next week and I need some opinions. On the plate is an '01 Nogaro blue s4 with all the options, newly replaced parts, and 103k; a '00A6 2.7t with 60k and loaded minus nav; andan 02 A4 with 65k/cold pkg. Im not new to A4's, I previously owned a 98 and 99 so I know what Im lookin for. All 3 cars are priced similar, so whats the best bet? High miles on the s4 scare me, but how much does that really matter? thanks

 

get the A6, i would have recommended the S4 but i too am worried about the high mileage

 

are you looking to mod a lot?

the s4 would be sweet, if he has kept a record of the maintanence done then it might be worth it.

a6 is to big for me, but if thats what your looking for then thats the same engine as the s4.

 

I'd buy the 02 A4 B6

00 A6 High (The A6 is quite big and in my point of view not as stylish as the S4 nor the A4 , A6 seems more like a practical car for someone who's married with kids.. but thats just me. Good mileage though and it does come with the S4 engine.. I'm guessing not alot of modding potential besides maybe the engine and a light body kit and not to mention the costs. Not as mod friendly when you compare it with the A4 & S4.)

02 A4 Middle (Stock its not going to be as fast as the A6 or the S4 but has alot of potential for upgrades.. but you never mentioned if the A4 was the 1.8t or 3 liter. You might want to consider what you plan on doing with the car , Upside is its younger then the other two. Has the lovely modern B6 look opposed to the longer A6 and the stumpy B5 sedan look.)

01 S4 Low (Down side is the high mileage & if it breaks down part are well.. $$$$ , on the other hand , it looks sporty & stylish compared to the stock B5 look.. its probably faster then the other two and much smaller then the A6)

+1 for me on both of those statements.

I could of easilyhad a '00 Imola S4 with 81k on the clock, but even that was too many miles in the eyes of my parents. Unless you could get a hold of a complete history of maintenance records, I would just go with the '02 IFit's a quattro.
