Traded the Audi for a Si...
Yea' I got a black four door Si, I would have liked to wait for blue butI had to ditch my car before it died and wasnt worth anything on the trade in... Still breaking it in, I cant wait for the 8K redline (the computer actuallykicks in at 8,500RPM, the built in shift light will be cool)... Gonna' be fun...
akielb - I travel on the cheap (two weeks off with pay helps as well), I have one of those big packs with all my stuff in it. The cheapest traveling I have done is a week in Sweden and a week in Spain and the whole trip, including plane tickets was about 2,000 dollars...About 1000 of that was plane tickets alone (Cali to Newark to Sweden to Italy (layover) to Spain, to Sweden to Newark to Cali... Reason why I went back to Sweden from Spain was because the trip was spurr of the moment and my departure ticket was for Sweden...
My most expensive trip was my last one with my g/f, I stayed in a hotel out side of America for the first time... But even then we ate cheap (most of the time), walked everywhere (or rented a bicycle and used the Tube/Metro) and I washed our clothes in the bathtub... That tripwas about 4,000 bucks (for each of us, food, planes, trains, tour, etc)for a week in London and a week in Paris... Flew into London, took a train to Nottingham and back, took the chunnel to France and flew out of france... I also had my first payed for tour ever which included Stonehedge, Sausbury cathedral and the Roman Baths... Now that my g/f has traveled a bit she said she will be comfortable going more on the cheap, not bringing so much luggage (getting a pack like mine) and staying in bed and breakfasts/hostels...

i would have gotten rid of that audi as well... sounded like a lemon. However, i would have sacrificed a few vacations to buy a sweet *** new audi or even a relatively new one with a good amount of the warranty left. Sorry....but ill always be a honda hater (first car i owned), unles you bought a s2000 i might have had a little sympothy for you
haha, no worries... I have ALWAYS said "I will never own a civic but I will always want my girlfriend to have one." Well ****, I had to go with what is reliable and fairly fast out of the box...

Hey Congrats on the new car!
I am on the verge of the same decision. My A4 QT is on the verge of something....I can feel it. Too many things have gone wrong on him to make me think otherwise. I won't even take him up on my next skiing trip.....just hasn't been reliable for me.
I love the Quattro but as a teacher, and a chic that can only change a tire and her oil it is getting to be a hassle. Rack & Pin, Fuel Inj,....my timing belt will be soon and 3 other things have been done all within the past 2 years.
I probably just got a dud but I will think twice before I get another german car.
Have fun on the vacations! =)

Thanks, yea' Quattro is something I will miss dearly (especially in the rain/snow)... But the Si has a limited slip differential and with some all season tires I will be fine... Good luck with your Audi!
