transmission??

Hi I just recently have this problem with my 2004 Audi A4, whenever I try to put it in gear it will not go into gear. It is a 6 speed manual. I noticed that the fluid reservoir was empty I refilled it but the car still will not go into gear. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated
