Nope, how is it driving worse. What problems were you having before? have you checked for codes?

Are you sure the trans was filled properly? If it's low, it will slip, & auto shift due to the lack of fluid pressure.

when i come to a stop the rpms go below idle and shoot back up. then when i start driving its seems like the rpms jump down after it shifts down and shifts up. any ideas.

Engine, year, transmission type and mileage would be a good start.

Have you checked the engine for codes? Who changed your transmission fluid and what fluid did they use?

Use the vagcom locator to find someone local with a vagcom and run transmission diagnostics

Probably because the ECU hasn't adapted to the new reduced gap in the plugs. Give it a few days.

sometimes when you change out old tranny fluid it actually has a negative effect. (I'm assuming you're driving an automatic here) A friend of mine who works at a garage said that after a certain point, if the fluid hasn't been changed for a long time, you're almost better off just leaving it alone. He told me that he changed the fluid in an old automatic beemer and2 weekslater the tranny was toast. He's a good mechanic so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt with regard to doing it correctly, but I guess the idea is that all of the little channels in the auto tranny are really delicate, and can be damaged, but the holes get filled by the gunk in older tranny fluid, and that keeps it working.

all theory here. are you having shifting problems? is it an auto?
