Transmission Help... Please look inside
I changed my timing belt last night, so I had the car up on my lift and I noticed when it was up there that there was a little oil residue on the transmission. It's a 5spd 1.8 T and I was wondering if there is somewhere to fill/' check the level of the fluid in the trans. Has anyone made a tool to tighten/loosen the plug on the bottom? Any help is appreciated since i am driving the car on a 3 hour trip tomorrow. I need it to make it there.......

well im pritty sure the 1.8t and 2.8 have the same way of checking the oil. i have the 2.8 30v with the 5 speed manual. there is a plug on the side of the transmission (driver side) around the where the cv joint connects to the transmission. i used a deep 17mm bolt to get it off. once u remove the plug u simply put your finger in the hole and the oil should be right up to the hole so u should be about to feel it. here i have the plug circled in yellow.
