Default Transmission bolts w/ hex outside AND inside - replacements?

I stripped some of the bolts getting my transmission out... where can I buy replacements for the ones that have inside and outside hex so that I can use a regular socket or an allen socket?

He means the bell housing bolts. Did you try ECS? Or maybe a dealer?

If the outside hex is fine, I wouldn't worry about replacing them. The inside hex is pretty useless. If the threads are stripped, you'll need to run a thread chaser through the bolt holes. If the bolts are just totally fubbed, call Shokan or a dealer.

If he is talking about those he is in luck because he can just leave them out. There is no reason to put them back in.

Why would they be there to begin with, then? Just overengineering?

They put them there so there is bolts all the way around the bell housing, but they are not really needed and I have been running without them for many years without any problems and even while making 600+whp.
