Default Trunk STUCK! need help

I live in michigan and the other day it was like 10 degrees at a high and my trunk wouldnt open, and it still won't open. I have a 98 a4 and have to press the little button on the trunk to open it and i press as hard as i can and the button goes down but it wont open! its really pissing me off, but does anyone know if its just really f***ing frozen or if something is broken, because i pull up on that thing as hard as i can.

If its that cold id say its probably just frozen I know my side locks are heated so that doesn’t happen but I don’t know about the trunk....... if you really need in the trunk you could just get to it by the rear seat and then pull the emergency release on the trunk latch, if that opens easily then there’s probably something broke, but if its stuck too its probably just frozen

Does it budge at all? If it won't move at all then the lock is still locked (either its frozen, or fuse is blown). If it moves a little, the gasket is most likely just frozen to the lid itself. Get in the truck and see what you can do!
