Default tunning?

how would you go about tunning your car to get maximum peformance? is it hard? do you see a significant change? is it worth you doing yourself of should i bring it to the dealer so they can tune it?

This is why you buy an aftermarket chip. Performance tuning.

Otherwise, you would need a specialty shop to do a homegrown tune on it, usually only neccesary to go this route if you have a big turbo that there is no tuning for already. Most of the turbos (k04, gt2871) come with chips tuned for the specific turbo.

Read some of Rusty's posts on Passatworld and decide for yourself if self tuning is worth it for you.
