They all have their strong points and their weakpoints. Most people who do a lot of daily driving would want to go with the ko4 or the gt2x bc of their quicker spool and more midrange power, whereas the gt28rs will make more power up top, but you have to rev more to get the power and you will have some lag. I believe there are people making 250whp with the ko4 and the gt2x, and people making over or close to 300whp with the gt28rs. However, I believe the ko4 will make the most torque out of all of them...but I could be wrong. A good site to check out to come the two garrett turbos is atpturbo.com, but I would not recommend buying anything on there before considering alternatives.

There is no good programming for the gt2x, and it is only oil cooled I believe. Also, the the gtrs is not a gt28rs. Stay away from the gt2x until someone comes out with a good file for it. Although if you have '00 like your screenname suggests I would stay away from both of these turbos because no company has a good file for either of these turbos for your year.

the GT2871R is a "BT" or big turbo as they like to call it and is what alot of audi owners go to when they want good power... yes it will have some lag so you will have to pull a few more rpms but hey look at the bright side if you get a stroker kit it will help the lag haha

but no one usually does that

NO there is not a good file. I'm tellin you its not worth it. Unitronics has tuning but supposedly there dbw files suck ***, and everyone knows that the mika tuning is crap. Those are your two choices.
