Default turbo failure

ok, I know this has been coverd before but could u guys give me a some examples of a blown turbo. Is it possible for a turbo to make boost but not kick in hard and pull hard. I wouldnt think so, but my turbo is making boost just not a big punch like it used to, its like its smothed out kinda. But im just not sure if my turbo is failure.

Well, hey at least the turbo isn't gone. How many miles did you have on it when you got it chipped?

sometimes right after you chip the 1.8T you get stuff like slight engine knock as the car goes through its learning curve maybe thats what it was

That's about when I started to mod mine too. I wish I would have started earlier, but it wasn't until I moved here to Indy that I found a shop that specialized in that sort of thing.
