Default Turbo failure

Ok i noticed about 2 weeks after getting my audi chipped that
my car started running louder then it used to, when i open the
hood and listen by the turbo, it sounds more like a warplane
then just the normal whistle. Its not that loud but my exhaust
also sounds a little more airy or farty then normal. Also when
i step on it it seems to whine at 15-17 psi that wasnt there
before. So is this the possible end of my turbo. I have 105k miles
so i wouldnt be suprised...

Sounds like an exhaust leak maybe the exhaust manifold gasket or a turbo gasket. It should whistle at 15-17 fo sho... The car at idle should not whistle at all cuz the turbo will not build boost even if you rev the **** out of it.

BTW you turbo maybe gone but if it is you'll have no power at all....I mean some but next to none. Trust me if your turgo was gone you would be on here saying my car is a POS cuz I can no longer pass a semi on the freeway

ya dude it doesnt sound like your turbo is bad YET... but turbos definately get louder and start to "whine" a little more when they are coming up to there last days, but it could possibly last you another year, or could last you another week...it just depends on how you drive it.

Well im quite aggresive with it but i can agree
with the exhaust leak, when it was installed one
of the screws on the cat snaped and now ive
only have 2 connected to the downpipe. But
how do you fix that....

I had the feeling this would become a problem
when it was installed, but it seems the more i
drive my car or the more i jump on it, my exhaust
gets louder and louder, its nice but with the
leak or whatever its quite annoying.

Check under the car for an exhaust leak. the common spot is the flex joint near the front.
