First off you are not goin to make 400whp without changing some of you internals, Apr stage 3+ is about 5500 and that is goin to give you as they say 333bhp on a gt28rs which is alittle low from what i have seen a gt28rs do (Tomritt). A gt28rs with the supporting mods like downpipe, MAF, manifold, fmic, clutch, high flow or cat delete, ecu/standalone, ect, should give you over 300whp on 93 oct. Also you are gonna want to do brakes and some suspension work to make it safe. I am not an expert by any means for that talk to Tom Ritt or head over to audigeeks.com and post in their b5 fourm those guys know alot about the 1.8t engines (bitterchild, mikep2zero).

B6's have a stage 1+ which uses different software that requires injectors... pretty cool actually. 235hp and 275 ft/lbs on 93 octane... just chip and injectors. Not too shabby, if you ask me!

EDIT: that was sort of off topic, as this guy doesn't have a b6... but yeah... still cool
I have just the APR 1 on my B6 now , but I am getting the TT225's for $300 (used) and am going to be going 1+ in a bout 3 weeks.

I CANT WAIT !!

no not on these cars....i know its gonna take a turbo, injectors, fuel pump, clutch, chip, fmic, fuel rail, pressure regulator, exhaust, short throw shifta, and thats about all i can think of anything else i left out????
Well, you make it sound like once you've finished your shopping list, 400whp is as easy as a night in the garage. The software (your chip) is kinda an important detail that has been tricky for many people. I don't think a fuel rail is strictly necessary, but I might be wrong. Also, you will need a new exhaust manifold. Not so much the SS. Probably you'll want a boost guage, as well as EGT and a wideband O2 sensor, especially if you're doing this yourself.

Well all these parts wont be plug and play. They will needed to be tuned and all before u can make close to 400whp. Can i ask why u would chosse a a4 1.8T to do this to? Is it gonna be a daily driver?
