Thats because a stock 150 HP 1.8T is retarded slow. Get a chip then you will feel the turbo.

yep, but if anything you should feel it in the low rpm range. your turbo will fall flat on its face towards 5k

haha alright, thanks. i thought it was me because it felt all retarded. i can't really feel the turbo at all, i can only feel the turbo in 3rd, i guess i got boost spikes and he boost more than it should like on and off and on and off for awhile until really high rpms then it just goes away. i was beginning to think my dv was broken, or i have a vac leak somewhere, but oh well.

i have another question, for the GIAC chip for the a4 1.8t, do those work with the k03 and the k04? because im going to upgrade my turbo soon, but i want to get a chip before i upgrade the turbo.

You can get a chip for anything, just tell them you have a k03 equipped and they will make software for it. If you get a bigger turbo you have to change the chip.

what do you think i should do first then? get a chip or get a k04? i don't want to waste money on a 500$ chip if i can't use it with the k04.

F*** the k04 it isn't any different than the k03, just has a slightly bigger compressor wheel, its only good for a few horse power over the k03 on the dyno. It just holds boost longer in the RPM range.
Upgrade to an eliminator turbo or go BT.
I would say chip your car the way it is and you will be happy.................for a while at least.
