Revo doesn't make a file for your car, its ndbw, so unitronics would be your next option if they even make a file for the gt2x turbo. Im sure they could tweak a file but most people get the gtrs elim. Also, the gt2x is only oil cooled, and isn't water cooled also and iirc it isnt ball bearing.

Personally i wouldeither get the gtrselim, or if your only looking for 200whp get the k04 and run the pc16 giac file with the 310cc red top injectors orRC 315cc inj.and a 3bar fpr prefferably an adj. one b/c most people weresetting it ~2.7-2.9 bar. The k04-15 has been around a while and is really reliable. Your gonna need all the suporting mods also so.

Default RE: turbo question

Just being oil cooled doesnt have anything to do with it. Many turbos are still just oil cooled and there are still tons of people that just run oil on water cooled turbos also (me being one of them). As for not being a DBB turbo, its so freaking small like the stock turbo, DBB isnt needed. The gt2x doesnt even have lag, it spools just like stock and unlike a ko3/ko4 turbo, it actually makes power in more than 500rpms. It will give a great low end grunt and not have ok hp numbers a 0 tq like the other elims have. Go back and look at arifs 71r elim dyno. He made 290awhp..... woohoo, but only 255tq, that is sad! A normal gt2871r would make about 320awhp and tq with the same tune.

Again, if you havent got the hint, ko4's only spike higher and dont have any more of a powerband than a ko3 did/does.

Read here. <= gt2x holds almost 20psi till redline. So makes boost pre 3k rpms and holds almost 20psi past 6k, sounds like a much better option than a ko4 and gtrs to me

You can get a gt3076r T3 .63 with a equal length manifold to spool before then and make well over 400whp and ~350ftlbs

I would honestly go with the gt2x if i was you. Makes great power at 20psi and up to about 24psi. You can start off with just the turbo and tuning. Then when you get some more money get a fmic and then a new turbo manifold. This will get you your goals and far more usable power than a ko4 will ever be able to. The ko4 just gives you a bigger tq spike and hold power for another 200-300rpms since its takes longer for the spike to drop back off. The gt2x plus tuning will be around $2400 (revo and delphi seimans or genisis injectors, please no green tops injectors or mika tuning) and then close to $3k with a new manifold and fmic.
IS that true because i got a quote to go gt28r on my b6..It was about 7 grand w/ labor and everything you need(fmic, manifold, ect ect). Is that like way too much..

elim's are much cheaper than full turbo's, but they produce less power

$7 grand sounds about right with labor and them adding more profit for buying the parts needed. the gt2x would be a manageable DIY for anyone with some basic mechanical skills. The only hard part is getting the cat off but some have posted nice solutions. You can take the gt2x in steps unlike the other turbo kits. I hate promoting the elims, but the gt2x is better than a ko4 and better to drive than a gtrs/71r setup.

Pass on the gt28r. Its not DBB even though its a gt turbo. Might aswell go t3 60trim since the cost is the same (if not less)and it flows the same as a gt28rs with the same basic spool.
