well for anyone that was following with what happened to my car im happy to say there is finally some good news i have to bring. i just got off the phone with the insurance company and found out that i am getting my car back at no charge. im going down to the insurance company to get a check for almost the full value of the car, minus the deductable, taxes, and a $750 fee, which im not exactly sure what its for but im not too concerned about. i didnt actually know this but i could have picked up my car over a week ago. im getting close to $7k to fix my car which is more then enuf to fix it on my own. since most of the dammage is body work im lucky casue thats the only feild im actually trained in. anyway long story short, expect quite a few changes to my car in the near future, and hopefully ill be able to figure out how to post pics so ill be able to show the enitre process. i also have a disposable camera with pics from the original damage and about 15 remaining pics, so im gunna have pics of the whole process, and ill be able to post them when im done. i just figured id share the good news with anyone interested, and just remember every cloud does have a silver lining.

i got the check form the insurance company today and im happy to say the car finally moved from the body shop!!! it made it all the way next door to the glass shop where shes gettin new windows tommrow, then moving down another door to get the tints put on. once the car is finally back at my house im taking out the ECU and shippin it to Oliver to have it chipped. then its just sitting online for hours ordering parts and waitin for them to come in. anyone have good parts sites?? and i REALLY need an s4 bumper, there is no way im replacing it with another stock bumper. any help guys?

 

I was looking at Shokan last nite and they had an '01 S4 that was involved in a rear end crash. Check it out.

 

Good news - just make sure to catalogue everything the car has to have in order to be driveable and repaired before you buy your parts (as much as can be done, anyhow). Then you know what you need and how much money you have, so you can buy OEM where necessary and aftermarket where preferred.

 

thanks Mcgovs im gunna check it out right now. and dont worry the first things on my list as far as fixing my car goes arent even from what happened. my p/s pump is going and im gunna get that fixed this weekend, and do a seafoam and oil change asap. im gunna keep all the reciepts so mabye one day if i wanna sell the car it will have a little more value knowing everything was done right.
