Default VAG Devices

I was wondering if anyone had ever used one of these. I don't have a laptop so I don't think downloading Rosstech software to my computer will do me a whole lot of good. Let me know if these things are any good or not. Thanks.

I don't think I'll be able to use just a cable because my computer is a desktop, not a laptop. Anyone else have any suggestions? I'd really like to have a VAG-COM but I'm not sure how to go about getting one. Do these handhelds come with the software already in them?

Go with this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/GS200...spagenameZWDVW

It reads and erases fault codes. Thats pretty much all you need if you arent gunna get vag com.

So I wouldn't be able to access anything but the fault codes with the more expensive one, either?
