I have a 2001 Af 1.8T quattro automatic with a bad transmission. I would like to sell it as is , but have no idea what I should ask for it. I know it has value and am not going to give it to the mechanic for $500.00. It is in good condition. Has 147K miles on OD, however motor was replaced with new by dealership at 44K. Very well maintained. If anyone could shed some light on this or have advice on what I should do, I would very much appreciate it. I love this car and a part of me wants to hold onto it until have enough money to replace the tranny, but don't know if it's worth it. Does anyone know someplace to get a used tranny for a good price?
