Default Warm heat not Hot at all!

96 v6 A4 ,My car does take a bit of time to warm up to mormal temp,and the heat just blows warm ,I am positive my thermo is not stuck ,is it possible there is too much coolant and not enough water in the ratio,I am going to drain it all tommorrow and put in a freash mix .....Any sug? thx

No that doesn't sound like the problem.
Feel the hoses going through the firewall. There could be an airlock. Aternatively, there is a system of electronically controlled flap valves that directs air over the heater core. These sometimes burn out. You can check the function of these with a VAGCOM

Unscrew the antifreeze reservoir. Lift it up with the heater on. This should bleed the system.

K put a new mix in still no difference.............Checked the hoses going into the heater core and driver is hot pass. cold,I did notice the vaacum tube going in between the 2 hoses,Is my heater core clogged or is the flap stuck closed? If closed can I manually open it? thx CM Its below freezing here and so am I!
