Default warranty question

I know my car insuarance is void once you bring it onto a track, but is my Audi warranty void as well? I did the track day last year thru my dealership & when I let the car rest all I could smell was clutch dust, both times.,On the 20 min drive home, I could feel how glazed the clutch had become. Was able to de-glaze the friction material by babyingthe car & clutch for the next while. If I blow my clutch out, is it covered by the Audi warranty, Canadian plan, or should I just stay home & watch the Brazilian G.P. in HD?

How would Audi know that you went to the track?

Default RE: warranty question

I did the same thing on my old VW Golf. I wasn't at a track, i was just smoking tires all night with the boys, when the tires decided to stick and the clutch slipped for a while until I realized the tires weren't spinning anymore. I babied it home and the glaze wore off in a week or so. I bought a new clutch and pressure plate and alignment tool, but put another 50k miles on the car and sold it before needing to replace the clutch. I then sold the clutch on ebay when i got the A4 1.8T. I hope you have that luck too. Around here, myA4 wasdealer warranteed up to 100k. Theyshould cover it - how would theyknow ithappened at the track anyway or if it just wentunder normal use? Good luck.

They'll know because they pay for it, I mean the day at the track.

Audi won't cover your clutch regardless of going to the track or not, its considered a wear item, just like brakes they have taken them out of their warranty program.
