Does anyone know where i can find a replacement wastegate controller for a stock k03 for a 1.8t... apparantly the person who owned the car before me snapped it off and jammed it into the lower heat shield as an attempt to keep it permanantly shut... ill take anything, aftermarket or new oem, or used for that matter.

i have a used k03 FS $100, it has ~66k, 6k chipped miles. There are people that will vouch for me that i have sold stuff too.

 

You can buy the Wastegate Actuator Assembly for a $170 from ECS or you can buy the whole turbo for a $100 from trailboss.

I'd go for the trailboss's because it is a deal and a half and he is a reputable member and nobody seemed to have a problem with him. Plus his car is hot lol.

 

yea, thats def the way to go... 30,000 less miles on my turbo, nevermind that someone had the wastegate on mind binded shut for god knows how long...

 

i'm no expert, but wouldn't having the wastegate permanently shut do horrible things to the turbo?

 

ya it would overboost so fast. probably blow the turbo on the first 3 or 5 pulls
