are all gt2871r internal wastegates?

i believe all gt style turbos are internal until you go biger than a GT35r. thats were it starts turning to external.

t3/t04e's are external, as with most/all t3 turbos.

but just becasue its internal doesnt mean it has to say that way, there are lots of ways to fix that

 

well thats true, but as of now,when you buy it, they are internal. You can even make an external one, internal...

im just saying if you bought a gt2871r , and you opened the box, it would be an internal wastegate

 

o man i miss my exteral wg. it would scare/**** some many people off. obtw tomritt weilded his wg shut and is now using an external wg

 

will an external wastegate perform better? i know it will sound like a beast but performance wise what will it do for me

 

doesnt that kill the performance because its a closed loop system, and witout much tuning, it will run ritch as a B****?

 

no man your confused we are takling about exhaust and how the wg will opne and by pass the turbo so you dont over boost. and yes for bt applications like a large t3t4 or a gt35r+ its better to have a external wg becuase you can get more exhaust out quicker so you dont over boost.
