Default Weight Reduction?

So one of my friends who also drives an audi says that there is these huge rubber mat things on the inside panel of each door. He says by taking them out it would cut a few hundered pounds from the car. He also says the only purpose they serve is to reduce noise. Easy fix for that would be to dyno mat it. That stuff isn't that heavy. Just wondering your thoughts on that. Oh and anyone else have any ideas for weight reduction w/out gutting the whole interior? I still want it to look stock inside (Don't care about the trunk though.) Oh and our cars weight about 3500lbs right? Just wondering.

carbon fiber hood, trunk, fenders, doors, sunroof filler

as far as removing the sound deadening.. im not sure about a few hundred pounds of it in the doors

just make more power.. and leave the nice quiet interior alone

Yea i want to put my car on a diet as well but dont want to loose luxury for doing it. I highly doubt removing the sound dampening is going todrop a few hundred lbs. unless you remove Everything including the floors, trunk etc.... I bet taking out all the airbags and panels would drop some serious weight also but not something id do.

omg thats insane! yeah, i think the 2500 could be better spent on more power to make up for the weight. must do wonders for handling tho
