Weight Reduction?
If you want to be realistic, change out your mufflers with some lighter after market ones. You'd be supprised at how much those weigh. My mid that I replaced weighed about 40lbs on it's own, and that's about what the rear one weighs too.
Just kiddin' about my earlier post, Josh. For reals though, get some lighter weight rims (carbon would be nice), get rid of the spare tire, and maybe think about moving the battery to the back of the car to get it a little more balanced. Anybody know what the stock balance is on an A4? I know it's not 50/50.
Well.. this was an interesting read though i saw aleast 2 fights going on.. but anyways... For cutting weight... Carbon Fiber Hood, Trunk Lid, Front Fenders, Rear Fenders ( Does anyone know where i can pick these up havn't found any for B5 body) Light weight rims, Light weight rotors ( vented and sloted helps), now for the engine take away all castiron replace it with steel and or aliumanum(can't spell). silicon hoeses, removine all extra plasitc and or containers as possible... for the interier Sparco (all the way) racing seats replace underbody coat with dyno matt, door sound matt with dyno matt you can remove the rear seat and the extra tirewhen your at the track witch is no big deal... now for suspension... probly need a decent coil over system (H&R makes a good set up) aliumanium uper and lower control arms. high strangthfront and rear sway bars... and ho a torqe dampener for the engine... the suspension stuff doesnt cut weight but it helps with shifting the weight to where you want it to get the max amount of power to the ground... witch is key to cutting weight you know give a little take a little... but thats all i can think of right now...
but on the other side can anyone tell me where i can get some carbon fiber rear fenders... and holy crap 800 bucks for doors... f that...

while your at it you might as well rip out the carpiting and Rhyno liner it. gut the doors and forget the seats just get a bucket. like 5 gallon one should do. Dump taht steering wheel and remove the gas pedal there to heavy.
If you want a quarter horse don't buy a european car. Its made to handle at speed not rune 4's in the quarter. If you want low quarter times buy a rice rocket

the post was just fine... its just basics that people can do to there car I personaly have the suspension done and working on the fenders and trunk lid the racing seats is if you start wanting somthing more and removing the underbody matt you lose 235 pounds i know this beacuse ive done it... i havn't done anything to the doors but... i know this is not to do quarter miles... hell in less then 4 weeks i got to drive this thing from san diego CA to norfolk VA... so I maintain the drive ability... but its nice to be able to go in to corners with a good supsension and a lighter car...
