weird radio/cd problem...any clues on what it is?

last night after the big ice storm in NJ i started my car and the cd player was on but had no sound...i played around with the volume but nothing happened after 10 minutes i tryed again and it was fine..in the morning it started playing without any problem and tonite it did the same thing,...first it played with no sound and then, the sound went away(while its on)...so..does anyone know what kind of s*** i am in?

maybee the cd has a wied spot on it. did you try a different cd when it happens?

tryed everything from radio togoing through 1-6 cd in the changer and taking them out and putting back in

ummm that sucks. lol no but i dont know what to tell you maybe the laser inside is dirty and it needs to be cleaned.

dude you just made me laugh i know it sucks but its not just cds all of it radio and cassette= no sound.. i might just take the batter off let it rest for minute to see if that will do anything

hey im just throwing out ideas trying to help you out. alright? before you take the battery off make sure you have the radio code. i know you arent dumb but trust me it sucks not having it and then having to go pay for it and it being sunday you would be out of a radio for longer.

honestly i took the battery cable out so many times and it never asked for the code..but i have the code in my cd/radio

well thats cool cuz the first time that i had a dead battery it went it to SAFE mode and the code i had was wrong. so do what you want i wish you the best of luck and i dont know what to tell you about your radio. faulty wires?
