You got a great price. When mine were replaced and the car aligned,
I noticed my hands could relax on the wheel. there was no need for a
tight grip. I did mine at 110K mi., but should have done them at 85K mi.
I paid $450 including tax and 2 rack boots.

Yup Im at 84k right now, but they were lose over a year ago at 74k miles. Pretty shitty longevity for such an important component. At least the new ones exceed oem spec.

I also installed my abs sensor yesterday. I have abs again

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

Jason, I have to do my front axles both side. do you think I should do it myself, or pay $60 for each side to let my mechanic do it. Is it a tough job ?

w00t!! Good to hear - is the inner rod salvageable even tho it was stripped and twisted?
To answer your question, yes. Its not stripped THAT bad. They able to fit a wrench around it and turn it for when they were setting the toe for the alignment.

Thats good news!
I dont know man... $60/side isnt a bad deal.. Especially when you consider how cold it is outside to be working.. But oh ya-you have a heater in your garage and work in your swim suit... So get the parts, a DIY article, and I'll be over there with my tools, trunks, and flip flops on. Id actually like to see a DIY article on it before commiting to do it, but from what i remember, they are pretty easy. How are your TRE's by the way?
