what engines have you seen in a A4
Everyone enjoys bashing the hell out of anyone who puts anything different in an A4. However, I'm curious, what have you guys seen other then standard engines. Any big blocks or all small blocks. Just the 2.7tt and the VR6T or has anyone else seen any other interesting projects. If so do you have links or pictures. Just thought it would be interesting.
seenthe 4.2L V8 from the B6/7 S4. they put it in a B5 S4, which was completely retarded in my opinion.. since 2.7t>>>>>4.2
also seen the I5 20v turbo motor. but the VR6 is actually a little easier to squeeze in the small engine bay
sorry, i don't have the links. been a long time since i've seen these

We put a 2.7T in an A4 at the audi academy just to prove how much a pain in the *** it can be.
It took around 30 thousand dollars (including drivetrain) and around 1 month to do the swap with 10 people working on it. Thats retarded if you ask me.
Ive seen a 4.2 FSI RS4 motor in a B5 S4 as well, i saw that in some magazine, i think it had to do with Hartage or something.

[8D]i know of a shop that will do it in about 2 days and around $5500 or so. that is labor costs and a k03'd 2.7t motor(not new of coarse). add a little more if you want k04s
^ls1 conversion's in miata's and RX-7s are quite popular. no what i would do exactly, but a turbo ls1 in those cars is crazy fast.. and they of coarse change up the brakes for a more equalled front and rear bias. as well as a few other things. like the entire suspension for one..
but TTrotary>turbo LS1 imo
