I FOUND AN ENGINE with a clutch, wiring harness, all the bells and whistles. Now all I need is an extra 6,500 to get it on this side of the pond, any ideas fellas?

^ls1 conversion's in miata's and RX-7s are quite popular. no what i would do exactly, but a turbo ls1 in those cars is crazy fast.. and they of coarse change up the brakes for a more equalled front and rear bias. as well as a few other things. like the entire suspension for one..

TTrotary>LS1 mayyyyybe, though both have thier strong points. but a turbo ls1? really? lets see 6psi in an ls1 will net you around 500+ hp and give youa much more usable powerband and still get better fuel econy. do the math....imo
