I have a 914 with a 355 small block chevy.. lots of $$, full race setup...

I have a friend with a 2.7tt in a 914, and about 30 others with v8's, and about 10 with subi engines....

Not a stranger to conversions...

 

try swapping in the new 3.0T TDI. you'd be the first and it would be sick as hell. stock turbo puts out over 400 ft lbs of tq, could you imagine a BT setup on it[:-]

 

I want to. It is keeping me up at night. I didn't want to come straight out and say it. For some reason all the high school kids flaming me just annoys the hell out of me. I pretty sure it will fit. It seems to be made for the engine bay. However, we aren't getting the engine till 2008. I'm taking to a guy in the UK about shipping a water damage engine over. However, are great leader has killed are exchange rate. Also, I'm worried about parts and tuning and diesel isn't big in the US. Hence the questions about engines and tuning above. Does anyone have anything on it now that the cat is out of the bag?

 

no need for bi turbo. just a single big turbo. a diesel is a PSI *****. but honestly i think just a tune. I mean the new 3.0l is putting out 440 torque and 240 horse power. with a chip and a bigger inner cooler i think 260+ and 500+ would be easy. Honestly, I want to keep it street legal and drivable. O and with 37 mpg. This is seriously ruining my life. Planing this project and trying to source the parts. I guess it makes since why I gave up on the 2.7tt huh cincy?
*my bad. I read your post to fast. Yes, a BT would be nuts. I thought you were talking about trying to rig up some crazy set up with custom headers. Most likely because I was still thinking about the 2.7tt.

 

it would probly require quite a bit of custom fabrication. if it bolts up to the b5 tranny and fits in the engine bay it wouldn't be too hard to do it. but i would talk to some experts on this one. maybe get in touch with Issam over at 034

 

already sent him an email. I haven't heard anything back yet. I'm talking to some other guys though.

 

Ive seen S4 engine, the 2.8 and 3.2 and 3.0 motors, obviously the 1.8t and 2.0t, also a 2.0t audi motorsport engine. in my dreams i had an A4 with a saab engine in it, does that count.

 

why would you want a saab engine?

 

i want a 4g63 in a 01 a4. rs4 body kit, bbs lm 19's stoptech or alcon bbk, kw v3 coilovers

 

Now that would be a good set up, probably would have to hack up the subframe to get that to fit. I would want that engine in an A3 with quattro.
