Shoulda got stick if you were concerned about, gas mileage,peformane,handling, that macho feeling of knowing your not some chick with a ringed D in her car.lol,seriously though, i better then EPA city and highway. If i slowed it down i would do even better. Never driven an auto that even got close to EPA estimate. Thats drivin in NYC bumper to bumper traffic and i got bad arthritis from childhood injuries and it doesn't even bother me. Can't figure the allure of auto. My boys A4 is auto and that thing guzzles fuel.

 

I have noticed a little better mileage by keeping it in 6th(tip mode) whe I slow down, when the computer would have downshfted to a different gear. It's not a huge difference, but that's just what I do on the highway.

 

Tiptronic if you don't let the rpms rev up to high in each gear.
