Have a 97 1.8 A4 which will soon get a K24 turbo set up. Spoke with a tuner who can provide me with a tune and he suggested I upgrade the MAF to a 3in VR6 unit. Does anyone know what year to use? Doesn't have to fit it factory air box as that will have to be custom anyhow. Have searched this site and the net but can't find the info I am looking for. Thanks

 

k24? are you sure you dont mean k04?

and id suggest going with a companies pre-done tuning. it isnt really worth ti to get a custom tune until you go big turbo

no, he means K24. he had a thread on this a while back, and seems really set on making that turbo work.

as for the MAF, no idea on which one to use, although I assume you should use the latest version you can find.

 

The chip company said I needed a 3in MAF housing off a VR6. He did not know what year to look for and I don't know what years use a 3in housing. And I meant to say K24, like to be different. Like the Air/ water system I have come up with.
